Where to find Authentic Gujarati Snacks in Bengaluru?

Sangam Sweets

Kem cho? Maja ma?

Well, we definitely were in 7th heaven when we discovered this gem of a place serving authentic Gujarati snacks in Namma Bengaluru. We, being from western India, sometimes crave for good chats and snacks in Bangalore as we used to get in Mumbai or in Vadodara. The Bangalore chaats are different and we haven’t developed an addictive taste for it yet. Better late than never, the foodie in us was overjoyed to have found this outlet chain of stores.

Sangam Sweets

As you might have figured out from the pic that Sangam Sweets is the place where you can lay your hands on authentic Gujarati farsans (snacks) in the southern city of Bengaluru. We tried bhavnagri, paapdi ghatia, fuli, phulwadi and sev from the shop and were left asking for more. My Vadodara-bred husband too vouched for its authenticity and good taste 🙂

We tried some chaats and snacks too like dahi sev puri, pav bhaji and dabeli and were not disappointed. I did not like the cham-cham personally (Bengali sweet) as I found it dry but the ras malai was good. The pav here in Bangalore is not the like the ones we get in Gujarat or Maharashtra. It is more thicker and sweeter here so that definitely alters the taste but otherwise the snacks and chaats were very good. Snacks and sweets from other regions are also available here like Mysore pak, Bengali sweets, baklavas, kodabule, nipattu etc. etc…the list is endless but do definitely try the chaats and Gujarati farsans here. Highly recommend it!

Hygienic place…

Sangam Sweets has outlets all over Bangalore and has eat-in, pick-up and delivery options available. They are on Swiggy and Zomato as well. Their stores and restrooms are maintained clean as well. The shop is open till 10:30 pm and is quite popular with young crowds and families on weekends.

Locations in Bangalore:

  1. HSR Layout
  2. Seshadripuram
  3. Hennur-Bagalur Road
  4. Majestic
  5. Koramangala

I might have missed out on some locations but you can check the store nearest to your house on their store locator. We are already waiting to go back there to pamper our taste buds again 🙂

Bon appetite!

PS: If you want to try making dabeli at home, then do try this recipe I had posted some time back 🙂
